Grace + Alex | Mechanicsville, Virginia Wedding Photographer

I didn't meet Grace and Alex until after they hired me but I fell in love with them the day we sat in Richmond at Black Hand Coffee. We had planned to chat about their wedding and the timeline but ended up chatting about everything but that, which was fantastic because Alex and Grace seriously made me laugh the entire hour and a half we were there. I knew then that I was going to have fun at their wedding!! I love their silly personalities and their love for life and each other. And you know what else I love?! Their AWESOME CEREMONY LOCATION!! Oh my gosh! When they told me where they were getting married, obviously I looked it up right away and I couldn't contain my excitement!! I had no idea this place existed! When they said church, I thought it was going to be a building because, ya know, that's where churches usually are. But this was way cooler!!! Their wedding day was just wonderful! It was calling for 60% chance of rain on their day and I knew that would be bad because there was nowhere indoors that we could shoot so I prayed, and prayed, and prayed. When I woke up Saturday, I checked the weather and the percentage had dropped to 20%! I could NOT believe it! It didn't rain one drop on their wedding day! So I'm finally getting to share their wedding with you! :D Hope you all enjoy seeing Grace and Alex's day through my eyes. :)

Their First Look was so sweet!!

One of my favorite shots of the day!!

We got all family portraits and bridal party portraits done before the ceremony because of their First Look! Best thing ever!!!

Loooove this shot of Grace's dad holding Alex's hand before he gave his daughter away. :)

  1. I work so close to this church, and yours is the first wedding I've seen done there. Beautiful job showing such a unique location!! LOVE all the "tree tunnel" portraits. :)
