Emily | Bridgewater, Virginia Portrait Photographer

Emily and I met In December for the first time and had such a good time wandering the streets of downtown Staunton! I asked on Twitter a couple weeks ago if anyone wanted to model for me and Emily was the first to respond. She was sweet enough to be ready within an hour and we were out shooting soon after! When I get the urge to shoot, I seriously have to or else I won't sleep. That's the life of a photographer, I guess.

This day I was dying to shoot some film. My brother just bought me some for Christmas and I wanted to see if I liked the Portra he bought me more than the Fuji 400H that I usually shoot. I don't have a medium format camera yet but I still like experimenting with 35mm. It's so inspiring to put away my digital camera and shoot film. Hope you enjoy these frames from this VERY COLD January day. Our fingers were about frozen off by the time we got in the car to come home. So worth it, though!
