Orchards and Coffee In the Rain

Sometimes you just have to get in the car and drive, just to go somewhere, the destination unknown until you see something familiar or interesting. Last week Bethany texted Becca and I, asking us if we wanted to adventure. Do I want to adventure? What kind of question is that? Of course.

We hopped in the car and headed towards Crozet and drove around little neighborhoods full of colorful townhouses and circled through the town once before our previously unknown destination was no longer unknown. We stopped at Chiles Peach Orchard, a perfect place for pictures, especially with the ripe peaches on the trees! It had been raining but stopped when we got there so we decided to take a chance. We meandered through the orchard for about ten minutes when it started pouring and we ended up sprinting towards the car, hopping over fallen peaches on the ground while we got soaked.

Our little adventure left us wet and in need of coffee so we went over to the Mudhouse for a couple hours and talked about pretty much everything. It's a blessing to have so many wonderful friends and going on spontaneous adventures with them is as good as it gets. Have I mentioned I love summer?
