Home Is Where the Beach Is

Where do I feel the most at home? At the beach, of course. I feel the most at home at the beach and I've never even lived there. There's just something about the slow pace of life, the rolling waves on the shore that I can hear all the way at the beach house, the walks on the hard, cool sand at low tide, the sunrises over the ocean and the sunsets over the sound, the movie marathons, the games that you play to keep occupied because the town is so small, the good food, and the laughter. It's like life stops for the week when I'm at the beach and I feel energized and relaxed when I come home and return to the steady income of emails and Facebook notifications. I'm thankful for friends and the opportunity to spend time with them over break.

What have you done in the past few weeks?

  2. oh, golly, girl. these photos are so gorgeous... i love the beach, but sadly, Arizona doesn't have one. ;) so beautiful--and a break from FB, and all the notifications is a blessing, sometimes. :) we have family up for a visit (my sister, brother-in-law, and their two little kiddos), so we've stayed pretty busy. ;)

again, loving these pictures! such beautiful raw emotion and gorgeous simplicity in them. *happy sigh*

  7. I really enjoy your photography for its depth and clarity, I appreciate the realness of the editing and how you don't go for the faux film look thats so trendy right now. Keep up the beautiful genuine work!
