To Be Free

I really never expected this summer to be so freeing. I thought being home, even in the first few weeks, would be horrible because I didn't have a job. Well, now I have so much to look forward to and I'm just trying to embrace it all. I spent my whole graduation weekend with my family (my two brothers actually made it home for more than five minutes), my aunt, and my friends. I went to graduation parties, relaxed, ate cake, and realized what summer is supposed to look like. I couldn't be happier that I was able to experience my high school graduation, something I wasn't sure I was going to be able to do at one point. I saw God working in more than one way that day.

But really, there are two things I'm most excited about this summer and they are: going to the beach and purchasing a new camera. I'm excited about the beach because I haven't been on vacation in three years and I just want to lay in the sand, splash my feet in the cool water, and eat good food at different restaurants. I'm excited about my camera because, well, it's a new camera. It's going to be quite nice and I'm proud of myself for raising enough money to pay for it myself. Can't wait to share more about that when the time comes.

For now, I'm going to wish for sunny days and to be around happy people.
