The fire smells like charcoal, it warms your face, and as you put your marshmallow on a skewer, that warmth heats and melts it to perfection. You slide the marshmallow on top of a chocolate bar, in between two graham crackers, and eat until your heart is happy. S'mores are the best, don't you agree? They just scream summer and especially this summer, I haven't been able to get away from them. I like it that way. I'll refuse to eat one and then I'm quite easily talked into eating one, and then another, and then another. Whoever invented the s'more deserves a hug.
Last night, I talked my mom into making a fire and sitting outside with me while I ate my s'mores because I had to suffice my craving. After eating three s'mores and relaxing in a chair on the patio, I waited until the fire turned to embers, then went inside, said goodnight to my camera, and went to bed. It was a good day. A simple, good day.
What is your favorite thing to do in the summer?

S'mores are the best. We rarely ever have them -- but while I'm at my aunt & uncle's house for the weekend, we're having s'mores (and tonight. Whoo!). I love the first photo. Yummo!
