Sunday Funday

It has rained for what feels like five days straight and that's no fun, but this weekend was the first weekend in a month that I haven't had any homework. It felt refreshing to be able to go places and do what I want. Everything is winding down and I'm so ready for summer. I know it's cliche but I think I'm allowed to say that after getting through senior year. This year has been easy and so hard at the same time, school-wise and emotionally, but I feel content. I feel proud of myself for growing my business, for learning to be less scared of opportunities, for almost completing high school, and for getting into college!

And to celebrate my completion of the past few months' hard work, I spent Friday at the Charlottesville mall with my mom shopping, something I don't do often. I just have a hard time paying $40 for a tank top, but because I needed a graduation dress and I never buy clothes, mom bought me a few things that I love. She wanted to stay home and mow the grass but instead went with me for a few hours. Such a wonderful, selfless person.

Yesterday flew by with all the Prom shenanigans and after FINALLY sleeping in for the first time in weeks, I woke up this morning bright-eyed, wishing the clouds away. Thankfully, they finally did go on their way and I have been on my computer, drinking Starbucks since. Because this week is "Frappuccino Happy Hour" from 3-5 p.m., I had to go get my half-priced frappuccino. I ended up trying the new flavor and it tastes exactly like the java chip frap, but with chocolate whipped cream. Just letting you know. Haha.

I did get to go outside for a while today and I was able to take some pictures with my macro lens. It's so fun to find something that may not be necessarily beautiful and turn it into something beautiful. It may be just me who thinks that way but I try to train my eye to see something that may not be that cool and use the light or a cool angle to make it interesting. It's so much fun and the more you do it, the better you get.

The rest of my day will be spent preparing myself for a shoot I have next weekend, going to see my wonderful friend who is home from college, and going to Campaigners. Today, I'm thankful for sunshine, nature, Starbucks, and friends. Hope everyone has had the most fabulous Sunday ever. See you soon, my friends! Thanks for reading.

  8. Soo beautiful! The other day I was outside eyeing a butterfly. Wanted to run in to grab my cam but I knew it would have been to late. I am so bad at taking pictures of butterflies.
