I have a shoot this weekend and I'm shooting a couple for the first time! I'm so excited to do something different, but I won't lie and say I'm not nervous because firsts of anything are always scary. The thing is, there are always ways to prepare! My way of preparing for a shoot is to look up poses since that's something I always need to be working on. I read so many photography blogs and also, I find wonderful photos on Pinterest that inspire me daily so I like to look through those and integrate certain parts of the pose into my photos.
For this shoot, I looked up a few of my favorite blogs and I went to my "Boy and Girl" board on Pinterest and saved my favorite images to my desktop. I've never made my own inspiration board in Photoshop before but that's what I did today. I took those pictures and laid them out on a page so I could see them easily when I printed it, without having to flip through lots of pages. I'll be honest with you. I'm probably going to take that sheet with me on Saturday. Mrs. Sapp, hope you don't think I'm crazy! Haha. I don't necessarily like sharing that with you guys because I think it's a little unprofessional but it's nice to have something to look at and show a couple. I certainly won't do that every time but I do think it's good if you're doing something new! So this is just what I chose to do to make sure I'm comfortable! :) I'm SO excited and I know it'll be great. Here's the collage that I made. Hope this helps someone that's in the same place as me!! Feel free to share what you do to prepare for a shoot! :) Photography credits can be found on my Pinterest.
