When Chipper and Mr. and Mrs. Graves made their way down the dreaded
hill from the condo, Saturday's boat preparation was repeated.
Everything was thrown on and we backed out of the dock to enjoy the last
bit of time we had.
The funny part was that as soon as we backed out, the boat flooded. And
by flooded, I'm pretty sure that meant the engine flooded. Okay, I
actually have no idea what I'm talking about right now but I do know the
boat wouldn't start and we were slowly floating away. HAHAHA. In my
head, I was making light of the situation and thinking of all the
horrible things that could happen, all of which were incredibly
unrealistic. Thankfully, the boat started a few minutes later and we
decided it would be a good time to go get gas.
We had some major struggles finding a place to get gas and just decided to stop by "the cliffs" on the way. Yeah, when Annie mentioned cliffs, I don't really know quite what I was thinking. I was imagining something about as high as a one meter high dive. Noooo, I was wrong. These cliffs were rocks on the side of the lake, 60 feet high at one spot...... Hearing that was when I decided I would prefer to watch. But again, Annie and Chipper were the brave ones and went off at the 60 foot spot. Crazy children, although it did look pretty fun.
We eventually found a place to pump gas after a couple hours of searching and then went back to finish packing and whatnot at the condo. This trip was exactly what I needed. EXACTLY. I had been wanting to go to the beach so badly and since I didn't get to this summer, the lake made up for it. It was the most relaxing, pleasant, satisfying mini vacation I've ever been on and I can't thank the Graves' enough for having me as a guest!! :) I'm ready to go back. Haha. But anyway, here are a few pictures I didn't want to leave out but never found a place to add into the post.
