Advertising

I am so excited about this blog's growth that I'm trying all the more to get its name out there. :) If you have a blog and want more people to know about it, find some popular bloggers and see if they'll let you sponsor them. What usually happens is you'll pay this person a certain amount and they'll put your blog's URL along with a little personalized button on the side of their blog. That way everyone that visits their blog will come visit yours too. :D It's so simple and such a great way to get your blog advertised.

I've really been wanting to do this lately, sooooo I contacted three of my favorite bloggers, paid my dues, and now my lovely little blog's name is out there for more people to see.

I chose Carlotta from Pastor's Girl's Ponderings, Olivia from Of Horsefeathers, and Ilene from Much Love, Illy. :) I adore all three of those blogs, read them daily, and am completely stoked that my name will be on their sidebars for the month of August. :D Go check out their blogs, get hooked like me, and then go search for my cute button on the side. YAY. I actually have a different button for Ilene's blog than for the others because the grey one with the picture of me was awkward sizing, so you might have to look harder. BUT I LIKE THAT ONE THE MOST. It's rainbowy. :)

Oh, and before I close this post, I want to share something totally awesome with you. I just found out that Olivia does a little bit of modeling in Maine and actually got to be in Taylor Swift's music video for "Mine." HOW EXCITING IS THAT? I almost flipped when I found that out because I would die to be able to do that. AHHHHH. So definitely check out the first link in this paragraph because she explains the whole story. :D Okay, I'm officially done bragging about my so-called blogging friends. Adios. Have a spectacular day, everyone.

  6. instead of focusing on clicks you should focus on real good content, you see clicks are a side-effect of real good content, be patient and if your content is really good the clicks will be flying in like bees across a flowery field on a hot summer afternoon, everyone can take good pics with a good digital cam these days, but capturing "that" moment is obviously not listed in the user-manual of those fancy cams, go take an old fahsioned analog cam, b/w film and try and capture "that" moment in your family, your friends, your surrounding etc, everything but those boring "seen-again-and-again" polished industry settings standard pics.. get out there, start a fight and then tell people you were just waiting for the right moment to take an excellent shot, then snap them and write about it, upload it to picasa in hi-res, post the direct links to those shots and a nice story of what happened and I guarantee you click will be flying in big time! get real, get out there and well you know what I mean, all the best!! don't be afraid to cross the line!!

  7. I like TL's comment ... very thought provoking, and I like the idea of "don't be afraid to cross the line" ... but at the same time I do believe that advertising is a great way to get your name out there, so I'm very happy to see that you've taken up some ads and I will definitely go and check them out now! :) BIG HUGS
