Sunrises On the Parkway

I'm so blessed. I can't even begin to explain it. The group of people involved in Waynesboro's Young Life make my life worth living. And if I can't even explain it, you most likely cannot even begin to understand it. With all I've been through, these friends have stuck by and I know I can count on all of them, including the Young Life leaders. I don't think I've ever had a greater morning and I hope I never lose touch with any of you. I LOVE YOU ALL!

This morning I woke up at 4 a.m. Yep, 4 a.m. I also went to bed at 7 but that's beside the point. Hahaha. I was ready to go when I got up. I hopped in the shower, got dressed, put on all my makeup and eagerly waited for my ride. :D Hey, if you're gonna get up early, why not get ready like usual? So I got picked up, we met at Starbucks, and then headed up the mountain to an overlook. I live in one beautiful place. That's all I gotta say.

We thought we were going to miss the sunrise and I was pretty sad, considering I got up super early, but we didn't!!! It was at the peak when we arrived, which is the best part. :) We spread out blankets and just admired the stunning view and were in awe of God's creation. How amazing is it that the sun always rises? That the sun always sets? You can always count on that to happen and it's something you should get up early to see at least a couple times in your life. It puts you in your place. As I snuggled beside a close friend under a blanket, I pulled out my camera and starting capturing the view as best I could to share it with you because it was the most incredible sight I've ever seen. I'm not joking. There's something about me and a sunrise. I have so many special memories of ones in the past.

After the sun rose, all of us prayed, worshiped, and then ran around taking pictures. So much fun. I needed today more than anyone and I'm so thankful it happened. These pictures will help me remember our special friendships and the love all of us have for each other as well as for the Lord. Thank you for being who you are. I know it's cheesy but you guys are the best friends anyone could ask for and like I said, I'm SO blessed.
