Old Dominion's Costume Shoot (Part I)

Once again, I've gotten the opportunity to take pictures for Dulcey at Old Dominion!!! I've gotten to do so much with that studio lately and it makes me super happy! They just had their 2011 Showcase and the costumes in that performance were UNBELIEVABLE. I adore them. And the studio worked hard to make, buy, and put together all of the gorgeous outfits so they thought it would be cool to have some pictures for any of the dancers who wanted them. :) As always, I agreed to do them and last week we went out to Constitution Park for a few hours!! Although we started around 4, the light was still surprisingly bright! So we went under a lovely tree for some shade and worked around the shadows. :D I always love being challenged when I take pictures for ODS. Dulcey does most of the posing since I don't dance, but I shoot all the different people in the same location and attempt to make at least some of the pictures look different. Haha. That's my job. It's harder than you think. Until you're put in a position to take pictures for people paying you, you can't say it's easy. But I LOVE it so it's not a dreaded task. It's something I enjoy. I'm thankful I've been able to expand my creativity doing this kind of photography. It's the best. =D

Okay, enough writing. Here are my favorite pictures from Sunday! :) Hope you enjoy them!!!

Alex, not sure if you'll see this, but you are so incredibly talented. I've always, always loved watching you dance and I can't wait to see what you do in the future. You're awesome. And these are possibly two of my favorite pictures I've ever taken. You're gorgeous.
