My Life Today In An Incredibly Long Post With An Incredibly Long Title

I'm gonna blog about my day. Sound good?

Today I woke up at about 1:30 p.m. I've managed to get on this really awesome schedule where I go to sleep at 3 a.m. So therefore, since I need my ten hours of sleep, I sleep in until after noon. Woooo. Winner. But anyways, I've also managed to wake up so late every morning I haven't worked this summer that I no longer eat breakfast. I just eat lunch right when I wake up. It's pretty cool. This morning I had chicken. HAHA. Breakfast is overrated anyways.

After that, I went over to Becca's to tie dye shirts for the Freshtones (a music group at the high school for freshmen). So far we've only done like eleven but they are AWESOME. My gosh. I told Becca they're gonna win awards. HA. But seriously, they're super pretty. We only opened up two of them and unfortunately those ran a little, but they are still greatttt. Becca is the tie dye master. I've learned that over the past year. She could basically run her own die dye business.

Anywayssss, while I was at her house, I took pictures of some pretty roses in her back yard. =D. They're awesome. And I couldn't resist. Those are the pictures below. =).

I left her house, took a shower, and went to Campaigners. Young Life Campaigners. If you don't know what that is, you should look it up on Wikipedia because I'm too lazy to tell you. But basically it's a Bible study. A really awesome Bible study with really awesome people. I'm so blessed. Kylie, one of my other friends who is in Campaigners actually blogged about it tonight, like I'm about to do.

Sometimes I hate reading long blogs that talk about the same thing over and over. It doesn't mean a lot to me and honestly, I have a hard time reading those blogs, even though I do. I won't be hurt if you don't read what I have to say. I won't know either. Haha. But it would mean a lot if you did read it. I don't post incredibly long blogs often. So bear with me if you choose to read it.

The passage we focused on was John 15:1-17. Not that you have to go read it all, but definitely feel free. It's a good one. I already had a lot of stuff underlined in that section and I love when that happens. I actually love rereading things because it always seems to mean something different, since it's at a different time in my life.

Tonight, two verses really stuck out to me. One was verse 4: "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." I just thought it was neat because it says that basically, you can do nothing without Christ. Or, you can't bear fruit without Christ. Pretty self explanatory.

The next one was the first part of verse 16: "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last." This one especially stuck out to me. Sometimes I think that I need to go out and tell people about Christ all the time. And that's definitely awesome if you want to. But that's not a gift God gave me. I'm not good at that. And a lot of times I get frustrated because people think we have to bring people to church and that we have to bring them to Young Life. Those things are certainly wonderful and of course if the person is listening, it could change their life. But ultimately, God is going to make the change. We can definitely plant seeds and be a witness, but we can't change someone's mind. So even though that took the verse a little off topic, that's what it made me think of and it helped me to know that I'm not the one changing someone's heart. God is.

Wow. This post might make it into the Guinness Book for being so long. And maybe it'll get in there for having the worst grammar, not knowing when paragraphs start and end, and being incredibly random. Sorry for all of those things. Haha. But here are the pictures I took today. Finally.

P.S. I added a playlist gadget thing at the bottom of my blog. I didn't make it so the music came on right when you log into my blog because sometimes I find it hard to read when there is music going. Anddd I didn't want the music to annoy anyone. But if you would like to listen to the music I added, just scroll all the way down and press the play button. =).
