Junior Year

Today was my first day of my junior year. Pretty exciting, I guess. It's kind of weird to think that I only have two more years of high school. Eeeek. I'm not sure how I feel about that. But today went really well. I mean, I didn't do anything. This is what my day consisted of, as I was telling my good friend Katherine a minute ago.

I walk into my class, the teacher says hello, and then proceeds to hand out about five sheets of paper, where I, along with my parents are asked to sign. Then I would be handed another sheet labeled, 'Getting to Know You.' I'm a junior. This happens at our high school. In every class. Haha. Here's a list of the questions.

1. What's your name?
2. What's your address?
3. What are your parent's names?
4. What's your favorite color?
5. What's your favorite food?
6. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind?
7. Do you play a sport?
8. How are you going to succeed this year?
9. What do you like about school?
10. What do you hate about school?

..... Okay, you get the point. Mhmmm. That actually happened. And it made me laugh so I guess that's good. Honestly, I don't mind. The teachers are just being nice. And as long as I don't have to color, cut, or glue, I'm a happy camper. =). Hehe. But other than filling out sheets like that, I didn't really do much. Well, I went to lunch, which is now like ten minutes long thanks to our new schedule. Pretty cool. But anyways, that was my day at school. Maybe tomorrow will be a little differentttt.

Even though I just complained about everything, I really think this year is going to be great. I'm really excited about Young Life starting up and I'm beyond excited about my Photojournalism class. I'm in charge of uploads and some of the camera stuff for that so I'm looking forward to it. =).

And also, before I end this post, I just went outside in the rain and attempted to take some pictures of a few different things. The pictures of the little tiny bug-like thing you will see below took me about thirty minutes to capture. And unfortunately, they're all a bit grainy because it was so cloudy, but that's okay. Photographing anything that small is incredibly hard. Actually, that is by far the most frustrating thing I've ever photographed. Hahaaa. I enjoyed every minute of it, but it was frustrating. My hand kept shaking so the picture would go out of focus. Then I'd have to refocus and try again forty more times. Haha. He was a cute little buggy though, so I had fun and I'm glad I actually got a few that were focused. =).
